Diary of a Wimpy Kid by: Jeff Kinney
The book acts as a journal and follows the adventures of seventh grader Greg Heffley. It basically is a comic/novel book. Greg Heffley is thrust into middle school, where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller, meaner, and already shaving. The hazards of growing up are uniquely revealed through words and drawings as Greg records them in his diary. The book was released in April 2007. There is now 4 series of Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
The book is recommended for grades 4-8.
